Group Counseling
Group therapy is an effective intervention, particularly when an individual would benefit from learning how to develop peer relationships and interact with peers appropriately in a structured setting.
Group Therapy for Children/Adolescents with Autism
Behavioral Health Services offers specific group therapy to address social, emotional, and communication skills. Groups are broken into three categories: preschool children, elementary-aged children, and adolescents. The group focuses on improving communication, social interaction, and other behaviors specific to the group. Through group support, participants can interact with their peers and trained professionals to increase social and communication skills. In addition, social support from similar-aged peers provides a unique and powerful intervention platform.
